 A modern chat plugin with channels, mentions, chat color, broadcasts, formatting, MiniMessage & much more - all in one. # Features Channels Strings is centered around an advanced channel system with various channel types, settings, permissions, and more. Channel types include world-specific channels, and proximity-based channels. Formatting Each channel can be formatted, with support for MiniMessage! Group formatting is also supported. Mentions Strings' permission based mention system can play sounds to players, send messages in the action bar, and color the mention based off whether the recipient is being mentioned or not. *Textures from Pixel Twemoji 18x Emojis The /emoji lets players easily use emojis in chat! Discord style codes such as :smile: are supported. Strings can also have players apply resource packs like Pixel Twemoji 18x for better emojis. Broadcasts Strings improves manual broadcasts, and also can send out scheduled automated broadcasts. Message Deletion Message deletion can be enabled, where players will have a button to the side of their message to delete it. Customizable Join/Leave Messages If enabled, Strings can let you customize player join and leave messages. You can also disable these messages altogether. LuckPerms & Vault Support Strings seamlessly integrates with LuckPerms and any other plugin that supports Vault for prefixes and suffixes. MiniMessage & Player Head Support MiniMessage makes all kinds of chat formatting possible in Strings, including putting player heads in chat! And more... ## Commands Main commands ## Commands: - `/channel ` - sets your own active channel. - `/channel join ` - lets you join a channel. - `/channel leave ` - lets you leave a channel. - `/channel mute ` - mutes a channel. - `/channel unmute ` - unmutes a channel. - `/ignore ` - ignores a player. - `/unignore ` - unignores a player. - `/broadcast ` - broadcasts a message to the server. - `/clearchat` - clears chat, optionally for all players with the argument "all". - `/msg ` - message a player. - `/r ` - respond to a player. - `/helpop ` - send a help op message. - `/socialspy` - toggle socialspy to monitor players messaging each other. Add a player to the end of any of the channel commands to have the command work on said player. - `/chatcolor ` - change your chat color. ## Permissions Main Permissions ## Permissions: - `strings.*` - all permissions. - `strings.chat.colormsg` - allows players to color their messages. - `strings.chat.placeholdermsg` - allows players to use placeholders in their messages. - `strings.chat.clear` - allows players to clear their own chat. - `strings.chat.clear.others` - allows players to clear all player's chats. - `strings.chat.broadcast` - allows sending broadcasts. - `strings.chat.msg` - allows players to directly message other players. - `strings.socialspy` - allows use of the /socialspy command. - `strings.channels.` - allows a player to use the specified channel. - `strings.channel.modifyplayers` - allows use of the /channel command on other players. - `strings.helpop.receive` - permission to receive HelpOP messages. - `strings.helpop.use` - allows players to send HelpOP messages. - `strings.chat.bypasscooldown` - allows players to bypass chat cooldowns. - `strings.chat.chatcolor` - allows changing your own chat color. - `strings.chat.chatcolor.other` - allows changing other player's chat color. - `strings.channels..receive` - makes it so players receive messages from a channel by default. # [StringsModeration](https://modrinth.com/plugin/strings-moderation) With the free [StringsModeration](https://modrinth.com/plugin/strings-moderation) expansion, some additional features are available: - Chat Cooldowns - Link Filtering - Word Filtering - Additional Logging # Installation Strings has no required dependencies. Simply download Strings and put it in your `plugins` folder! - Channel customization and formatting is in `channels.yml` - Main configuration is in `config.yml` - Other options are found throughout the other files.
