# 🎃 Spooky Hollow
**Autumn leaves, carved pumpkins and a harvest moon.**
Spooky Hollow gives your world a Halloween makeover. Forests turn orange, red and gold, every pumpkin grins back at you, cobwebs hang from the trees and a glowing orange moon rises over it all.

## ✨ What's changed
### 🍂 Autumn everywhere
- Leaves turn **orange, red and gold**, with different shades in different biomes
- Grass becomes **withered and dusky**, like late October
- Dusky **purple shadows** and warm **ember highlights** on blocks across the world
### 🎃 Every pumpkin is carved
Every pumpkin has a jack-o'-lantern face on all sides, so pumpkin patches are full of grinning faces.
### 🕸️ Cobwebbed trees
Oak, spruce, birch, dark oak, jungle, acacia and mangrove logs are draped in cobwebs.
### 🌕 Harvest moon
The moon glows a deep **orange** through every phase. The sun burns a dim **red**, and clouds take on a **purple haze**.
### 🔥 Glowing light sources
Torches, lanterns, jack-o'-lanterns, campfires, glowstone and other light sources keep their full brightness, so they glow warmly against the gloom.
## 🌌 Optional: Spooky Hollow Sky (data pack)
Resource packs can't change the sky color, so there's a small optional data pack:
- Permanent **purple dusk sky**
- Misty **violet fog**
- Dark **purple water**
Add **Spooky-Hollow-Sky-Datapack** to your world's `datapacks` folder, or select it under **More → Data Packs** when you create a world. Remove it after Halloween to bring the blue sky back. The sky data pack is for **1.21.11**.
## 🧩 Compatibility
- **Minecraft 1.21.5 – 1.21.11** (Java Edition). Sky data pack: 1.21.11.
- Works with vanilla, Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, Forge, Sodium, Iris and OptiFine
- Looks amazing with shaders at night
**Good to know:** spruce and birch leaves are colored by the game itself, so they stay green.
## 📦 Installation
1. Download the `.zip` (don't unzip it).
2. **Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder**, drop the file in.
3. Move **Spooky Hollow** to the right-hand column and click **Done**.
4. *(Optional)* add the Sky data pack to your world.
