# Brief Intro RCVR3 (Expanded) is an expanded fork of Ryan Clifford's original modpack that transforms Minecraft into an absolutely GORGEOUS VR Experience. It's primarily vanilla with additions to make the game render far, be well optimized and run on most computers. It had some room for improvement so I got permission from Ryan Clifford to upload a fork! You can find his channel [here](https://www.youtube.com/@RyanClifford). The original modpack aimed for 4 main things: 1. It aimed to be vanilla+ just as its predecessors. 2. Add more mods to improve the VR Experience 3. Increase the render distance to a vast horizon to encourge you (the player) to explore 4. Make the experience/modpack as satistying as possible However, I decided to build on top of that! I've curated some less "vanilla+" features to make the experience truly breathtaking with some tweaks to the original mod for Quality of Life. Please be sure to check out the original first for the best optimization techniques and options and most importantly, to support Ryan Cliffords efforts to make a truly breathtaking modpack. # Setup Tutorial I have made a setup guide which can be found below ImmersiveMC > Enable/Disable Immersives`. ### Tree Felling Next up is the tree chopping mod Ryan included. The mod made the trees fall over using falling blocks which looked really cool when chopping trees down and certainly was a cool concept but it came with some challenges. Gathering wood is exhausting and I found that I actively avoided doing it as much as possible, not to mention the GLARING issue. While playing the modpack with a few friends we discovered that it works on more than just trees. Someone had built their house using logs and planks and another tree having grown nearby with the leaves touching the logs posed a massive problem. That friend went to break a log and the entire top half of their house ended up just falling over. Hilarious but infuriating! We ended up replacing this mod for Falling Tree as it's much more reliable and easier to be careful with, with the added bonus of making gathering would less painful. ### Voice Chat The other thing included to the original modpack was Plasmo Voice. It's definitely not a bad voice chat mod at all and certainly was easy to set up but had some kinks that made it less appealing. The biggest thing I noticed is that it's VERY quiet, like, *veeery* quiet. I had to turn up so many volume sliders to make people more intelligible but even still they were too quiet, especially since the falloff distance is so low. People faded out too quickly (even from 8 blocks away) and weren't even affected by the Sound Physics Remastered mod! I replaced this for Simple Voice Chat as it works well with Essential, is louder, better configured and has great interactivity. I even added another mod that makes it interact with the Warden and Sculk Sensors/Shriekers. Good luck down in the Deep Dark
