Starlight (SL) is a finely tuned, lightweight Minecraft modpack built entirely from the ground up with one clear goal: **to deliver peak performance with zero distractions.** Over the course of a full year, Starlight was rigorously developed and tested across a stupidly wide range of hardware configurations by Moth Studios and the Moth Studios Testing Team, both online and in person. What you're playing is the polished result of nearly-infinite iterations, benchmarks, and real-world testing, which is our answer to Minecraft's poor optimization issues.
Starlight brings together the best performance-focused mods available on Modrinth, carefully selected and configured to squeeze every possible ounce of efficiency from your system. Unlike other modpacks, our focus is deliberate and uncompromising: **no visual fluff, no non-vanilla intrusive quality-of-life changes, and no distractions**. Just clean, focused performance.
Think of Starlight as a **true clean slate.** It's designed and also being remastered to not only run exceptionally well off a fresh install, but to serve as a stable, optimized foundation for whatever you want to build on top of it. Add your own visuals, mechanics, or other features later on. Starlight stays out of the way and lets _you_ decide.
