# Obsidian Equipment Reworked A Fabric mod that adds a full set of **Obsidian equipment** to Minecraft, filling the gap between Diamond and Netherite. Craft powerful tools and armor from Obsidian Ingots — a new material blasted from obsidian. ## Getting Started ### Obtaining Obsidian Ingots Obsidian Ingots are obtained by **blasting Obsidian** in a Blast Furnace.  ### Upgrading All tools and armor follow the upgrade system using the **Obsidian Upgrade**. You must go from Diamond to Obsidian, then Obsidian to Netherite.  ## Obsidian Upgrade Smithing Template To upgrade Diamond gear to Obsidian, you need the **Obsidian Upgrade Smithing Template**. It is found as loot in the following chests: | Chest | Drop chance | |---|---| | Bastion Treasure | 20% | | Nether Fortress | 15% | | Ancient City | 15% | | Bastion Other | 13% | | Bastion Bridge | 13% | | Stronghold Corridor | 13% | | Abandoned Mineshaft | 11% | | Ruined Portal | 10% | The template can be duplicated in a Crafting Table using **7 Diamonds + 1 Obsidian + 1 Obsidian Upgrade Smithing Template**, yielding 2 templates. ### Horse Armor Obsidian Horse Armor cannot be crafted. It can only be found as **rare loot** in a Nether Fortress, as Bastion Treasure, and Ruined Portal chests (18% chance). ### Spear (1.21.11+) The Obsidian Spear is crafted with the standard diagonal spear recipe using Obsidian Ingots. It sits between Diamond and Netherite in charge damage, knockback, and swing speed. ### Nautilus Armor (1.21.11+) Obsidian Nautilus Armor is rare loot found in **Shipwreck Supply chests**, **Ocean Ruin chests**, and **Buried Treasure.** It provides **15 body armor points** (Diamond: 11, Netherite: 19). Obsidian Nautilus Armor replaces Diamond as the base for upgrading to Netherite Nautilus Armor at the Smithing Table.
