# Nuit Interop _Formerly known as **FabricSkyBoxes Interop**_ **Nuit Interop** adds compatibility for **OptiFine/MCPatcher custom skies**, allowing existing resource packs to work with [Nuit](https://modrinth.com/mod/nuit), the modern multiloader successor to FabricSkyBoxes. It converts supported OptiFine custom sky definitions to Nuit’s skybox format at runtime, making many existing sky resource packs work out of the box. --- ## Features - **OptiFine/MCPatcher Custom Sky Support** Converts supported `optifine/sky` resource-pack definitions into Nuit-compatible skyboxes. - **Smart Fallback** Skips conversion when native Nuit/FabricSkyBoxes-format skyboxes are already present. - **Flexible Control** Includes options for disabling native Nuit-format skyboxes when testing or preferring converted skies. - **Legacy FabricSkyBoxes Support** Planned support for loading legacy FabricSkyBoxes-format packs directly. --- ## Requirements - [Nuit](https://modrinth.com/mod/nuit) --- ## Notes Conversion is best-effort.
