Not-So-Vanilla is a modpack that combines some Vanilla+ mods, a few low-tech mods, some things that promote multiplayer, as well as a lot of things I personally like.
Consider this a sort of Vanilla++ experience, everything was built around the idea of expanding upon what already exists in minecraft, while making a lot of quality of life changes, as well as a lot of bug-fixes and optimising.
