![Minecraft Matcha Flavoured - A datapack designed to reward casual players. No more mob grinders, xp farms, or villager torture chambers](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/9fe0e32873c6558ff6c38765b432bdc4da8bc676.png) Matcha Flavoured is a datapack designed to reward casual and non-technical players who don't enjoy making mob farms, or engaging in the technical aspects of minecraft. The goal being for casual players, who like to play slowly, to be able to gather the same amount of resources technical players do in the same amount of time. If you want something chill, use Easy mode, and if you'd prefer a challenge, stick to Normal If you enjoy making mob farms, you probably won't enjoy playing this pack **THERE IS NO OFFICAL WIKI/WEBSITE/SERVER FOR THIS PACK** These people are trying to scam you, don't buy into it ## Contents ### Major Features - 12 Food Ingredients now contain special intrinsics (potion effects) - ~50 new foods - Progression is reworked, with 4 new alloys, Armour and Tool sets - Death is no longer as punishing - Vanilla equipment has been overhauled - Villager trades have been overhauled - Special treasures have been added - A couple of new enchantments - Hunger has been removed - Natural Regeneration has been removed - Enchanting has been reworked - Plenty of secrets and a dash of horror ;) ### Some Tips - Early-game is harder now, remember to use every tool at your disposal - If you prefer something more relaxed, switch to "Easy" Gamemode. Reload the world, and make sure the chat message say "You are in Easy" - Stone tools don't exist you go from Wood -> Copper -> Iron etc. - Go to The End when you're ready, no need to rush, shulkers are now early-game features - Break Spawners! - **Im stuck in early progression!:** Make sure you check advancements and recipes you CAN'T craft. The first thing you should be doing is making a campfire, wooden hoe, and collecting grass to cook. Then you'll be able to make the mudkiln and continue on the path - **Accessibility!!!:** You can change/remove textures in the resource pack. But if you're lazy or scared! I made an accessible version of the RP: [Accesible Matcha Flavoured](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/accesible-matcha-flavoured-rp) **Please read the installation instructions on that page** - If the true darkness is too dark, go to the DATAPACK Matcha_Flavoured\data\minecraft\dimension_type and follow the instructions. - Or use this: [Matcha-Vanilla Flavoured Resource Pack](https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/matcha-vanilla-flavoured/) ## Installation The data and resource pack are bound together, place the same file in the datapack and resourcepack locations and everything should be kosher. **IF YOU USE MODRINTH TO LOAD IT:** It wil only install it as a resource pack. Datapacks are not currently supported in the loader since they are per-world and not per-instance. You have to install it into a world manually. You might not want to put this into a pre-existing world, as items have been shuffled around. If you really would like to anyways, that's fine, but you should probably enable cheats so you can fix where things break-down. **If when you reload the game a chat message saying "Matcha Flavoured is now loaded" is displayed, its working, otherwise you've installed something wrong** - **Im still having trouble!!:** When you create your world make sure you manually add the zipped Matcha_Flavoured file into the datapacks temp folder (Go to "More" tab when creating the new world, click "Datapacks", then "Open Pack Folder" and drag the ziped file into there) Make sure you move it to the right column labeled "Selected". If textures aren't showing up, add the same file to the Resource pack folder. - **But I already made a world!/Need to add it to a preexisting world!:** Select a world, click the "Edit" option, then "Open World Folder". Select the "datapacks" folder, drag the zipped file into there **UPDATING** Just replace the zips in BOTH (RP and DP) locations, it will be fine, the only thing that will (should) break are items not stacking with each other, or a tool/trade not being updated, both of which can be fixed in-game with Amnestics and Grindstone villager. If you see something like "item.kleispack.filler" that means you only updated the DP and not the RP (Or I forgot a lang) ### This Pack was ORIGINALLY Made by One Guy So there's bound to be bugs and issues I haven’t found. Please excuse my amateur production and if you have feedback, suggestions, or bugs, let me know [here](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSefX4JnnXGkIhsP_B8fmuy8_X3bf2XOAWzMqDVg-L0BM8ZZUA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=113389663213152539829). Also I have a Kofi: [Kofi](https://ko-fi.com/kleiwright) I made github though: [here](https://github.com/kleiwright/matcha-flavoured) ### Major Known Bugs - **Keep Inventory not working!** On purpur servers (and maybe some other things), keep_inventory is handled per dimension. Set it manually with a command, Ill think about adding something that sets it every time a player enters another dimension. ### Common Requested Features - **Vanilla Textures, Please!**: I don't have the time to support another datapack with different textures. I'm sorry. I thought there would be a way to make it easy by letting Vanilla Textures take priority, but the lang and crafting recipe items get in the way of that. But if YOU want to make a version of this pack with Vanilla textures and post it?? Go for it. - Apparently, someone has! [Matcha-Vanilla Flavoured Resource Pack](https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/matcha-vanilla-flavoured/) - **Mod Integration**: I'm looking into once slot sources become available ## Credits ### Proper Credits #### Ciren They composed the "Golden" music disc. In memory of my dog who died recently. #### Klei All other textures were made by me, check the license and steal as you wish. If you just like the resource pack and none of the design changes, feel free to make an off-shoot of this pack and get rid of my messy nonsense. Make sure you credit, share under the same license, and DON'T SELL IT! (Yes even on the bedrock store, no part of my pack is allowed there unless its FREE) #### Natroute For managing the Translation project #### imtlx For compiling the Translation Spreadsheet into JSON #### NamelessJu Helping with code suggestions, modrinth issues, and translation #### Bug Reports and Coding Suggestions - CubertCuberton #### Translation and Localisation (Next update) Thank you to everyone, especially for catching my typos, I'm very bad at spelling Translation Lead: natroute Translation JSON compilation: imtlx ##### French (fr_fr) - Zevran - Ithlil - Alaska ##### Russian (ru_ru) - Pepurion ##### Czech (cs_cz) - Fellter_CZ - Exmori ##### German (de_de) - NamelessJu - Flix8 - Koguri3108 ##### German, Swiss (de_ch) - Flix8 ##### Spanish, Chilean (es_cl) - Seba ##### Spanish, Spanish (es_cs) - Joxer021 ##### Turkish (tr_tr) - Phonem ##### English, Canadian (en_ca) - deneben ##### English, UK (en_gb) - Vee ##### Chinese, Simplified (zh_cn) - EastMonster ##### Danish (dk_dk) - Knoctis - Sego_dk ##### Ukranian (uk_ua) - imtlx - malberee ##### Italian (it_it) - Briefle - Yassin ##### Polish (pl_pl) - Kuzuyukii ##### English, Fun! - HapppySpud (en_pt) - imtlx (en_ud) (lol_us) #### If you'd like to help with lang Talk to the project manager, Nat. I think the design and attention to the resource economy and progression was stellar. Truly reworking the create mod into a brilliantly designed progression. I can’t give this modpack more praise. Electrum, Shakudo, Hepatizon, and Divine Fragments were directly inspired by this mod; plus much more! Go check out Raspmary’s modpack [here](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/raspberry-flavoured). #### JermsyBoy My resource pack was made to mirror JermsyBoy’s original texture pack as closely as possible. I thought he did great work but unfortunately has since stopped developing the project. Further, the textures had copyright protections on them, thus my pack was made to mimic it whilst still allowing everyone to modify and steal textures as they wish. His original [texture pack](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/a-little-taste-of-jerm). He also has a [youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCICnSwa3x5sHTWmTP6YO30w), and has some stunning builds. #### MiziraGamez Provided a framework for endless repairing (No XP cap). You can find their datapack [here](https://modrinth.com/datapack/repair-cost-remover). #### Gooporeal Provided inspiration for the Lichen re-models I did. Their [resource pack](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/gooporeals-lichen). #### Vectorwing Provided the inspiration for a lot of my textures. Their [resource pack](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/detail-brush). #### Rhythmic under PurpurMC Provided a framework for looting shears. Their [datapack](https://modrinth.com/datapack/purpurpacks-looting-shears?version=26.1&loader=datapack). ## Changes/Features in the queue (not soon soon, but next on the docket) Enchanting - All enchants will work like Warding. AKA You will not be able to craft 2 unbreaking II books into an unbreaking III. Which means the player will not be able to combine golden pickaxes to get more fortune, not be able to combine found weapons with their current weapons etc. This will be done for balancing reasons, to make Sure Electrum really feels as special as its meant to. Armour Reworks - Electrum - Adamant - Adamant tools will no longer have divinity, ill come up with something better - (Electrum may be nerfed and split between itsself and a new alloy) Adventure Rework and End Changes - **These plans are subject to change** - The End will require you visit all main overworld structures (Only those locatable by map, ie. not dungeons). Instead of buying maps, you trade the corresponding Sacred Text to gain the map for the next structure. I may influence the spawn rates of certain structures, increase their loot etc to balance this. - I want at least three main overworld structures each with a unique sacred text that leads to the next. Abbey -> ??? -> ??? - The Mouthpiece will still trade for sacred texts, but the Archaeologist will also buy them. The Moutpiece seeks wisdom, the Archaeologist seeks knowledge. - I want YOUR feedback on these ideas. I think making adventure integral to the gameplay, and to make it so that each combat encounter can be subverted, for less sweaty players, would be good for the datapack. But I want your opinions too. ### Bugs I can't fix (or need help with trying to fix) - Enchanted Amour when smithed, if it has an enchant (Ex. Electrum) it overrides existing enchantments. Is it possible to make it so that it keeps previous enchants and ADDs the new ones?
