**What is Ion?** Ion is a modpack with 18 essential optimization mods for Minecraft. Simply put, this helps your game run smoother, quicker, and more reliably _without_ changing any part of the normal vanilla experience. **Why would I need this?** Ion can extremely benefit those with lower-spec computers or those who want to run multiple things at once (such as Minecraft and editing software at once) without Minecraft becoming overly resource demanding. **Variations:** - _Nvidia_ - **Only works with Nvidia GPUs** and does **not** have shader support (better performance than _Shaders_) - _Shaders_ - _**(Recommended)**_ Works with **Nvidia, Intel, AMD, and Apple Silicon GPUs** and **has** shader support **Important to note:** 1. Ion is **not** allowed in speedrunning 2.
