Friend Finder is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod that helps you locate your friends in the Minecraft world. The mod displays a simple directional indicator with distance information, making it easy to find and meet up with other players on your server. Press the I key to display on your HUD! No more asking "Where are you?" in chat! **Currently only tested with 2 players** ## Features - Directional Tracking: Shows the angle you need to turn to face your friend - Distance Display: Displays horizontal distance to your friend in blocks - Height Indicator: Shows the vertical difference when your friend is above or below you - Toggle Function: Press F key to turn the display on/off instantly - Automatic Friend Detection: Always tracks the nearest player to you - Minimal UI: Clean, unobtrusive text display that won't clutter your screen ## How It Works Friend Finder displays a simple message above your hotbar with: - Your friend's username - The angle to turn to face them (in degrees) - The horizontal distance to them (in blocks) - The height difference when applicable (with + or - sign) ## Usage - To get back to your friend you basically just need to reduce all the numbers down to 0! - Press I key to toggle Friend Finder display on / off - Binding can be changed in Minecraft's Controls menu under "Friend Finder" ## Why Use Friend Finder? - No more asking "Where are you?" in chat - No more checking co-ords in F3 - Stop wandering around aimlessly looking for each other! - Find your way back to your group after exploring - Coordinate builds and adventures more efficiently - Works in all dimensions (Overworld, Nether, End) ## Compatibility - Works with Minecraft 1.21.5 - Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API - Client-side only (works on any server) - No conflicts with other mods known ## Resource Usage Friend Finder is designed to be extremely lightweight with minimal impact on performance.
