Server features (since version 2.0.0): - Servers with the mod installed now sends the settings to the clients. - Client settings are ineffective while connected to a server with the mod installed. - This also applies to "Open to LAN"-servers with the mod installed. - The mod is not required on the server for a client to be able to connect. A server with the mod installed also does not require the clients to have the mod installed. - If the mod is installed on the server and clients: Clients see the game according to server settings. - If the mod is only installed on the client: The client is in charge of settings and rendering. - If the mod is only installed on the server: Clients will be able to connect without the mod but wont see the fog. ### FAQ - How do I configure the mod? - The mod is configured from the mod menu (since mod version 1.1.2). Find "Fog Overrides" in the list and click config. - For older version you will have to find the config file in the config directory in your Minecraft instance directory. - On servers you will have to find the "fogoverrides.properties"-file in the config directory of the server. - Does this mod support Sodium/Iris or Optifine? - I will try my best to keep compatibility with Sodium. - While the mod will likely run with Iris installed, I wont promise shader compatibility. Some shaders have their own fog-implementation and supporting that is outside the scope of this mod. - Optifine is not supported and wont ever be supported. - Compatibility with mods follows an "if it works it works" kind of deal. - Can you port this mod/feature to X version? - In short: no. - This is not because I don't want the mod to be compatible, but because the workload of maintaining multiple versions would be too much for me to handle. - Can I use this mod in my modpack? - Yes, as long as the modpack is hosted on either CurseForge or Modrinth. - Does this game work on Forge/Fabric/NeoForge? - Loader compatibility follows Architectury's loader support. - For later versions this means: Fabric and NeoForge [![Affiliate link for Kinetic Hosting.](https://fabbe50.com/files/Fab.png)](https://billing.kinetichosting.net/aff.php?aff=165)
