###### **![https://i.imgur.com/rvlBMZc.png](https://i.imgur.com/rvlBMZc.png)** End Portal Timer helps server owners control when players are able to access the End Portal and fight the Ender Dragon. You can set a time limit for when the portal will become active, preventing players from rushing to the End too quickly. When the portal is inactive, players attempting to use it will receive a customizable message informing them of when it will become available. This plugin is ideal for server owners who wish to schedule a grand Ender Dragon battle with many players for a more immersive and challenging experience. It also caters to those who prefer a more leisurely pace and want to ensure that players enjoy the game's content without rushing through it. ## Features - **Timezone-aware unlocking** — Configure an exact date, time, and IANA timezone. - **Relative countdowns** — Open the portal in seconds, minutes, hours, days, or a combined duration. - **Portal Frame protection** — Eye of Ender placement is blocked until the timer finishes. - **Clear player feedback** — Customizable countdown messages, sounds, and particles explain why the portal is locked. - **Optional holograms** — Temporary countdown holograms are available when DecentHolograms is installed. - **Admin controls** — Reload, set the date, start a countdown, view status, or toggle locking without restarting the server. - **Bypass permission** — Allow trusted players to use locked frames when necessary. - **Restart-safe announcements** — The plugin remembers whether the current unlock has already been announced. ## Supported versions - Minecraft **1.20.x** - Minecraft **1.21.x** - Minecraft **26.1.x** - Minecraft **26.2.x** - Java **17 or newer** The distributed JAR is built against the oldest supported API so the same file can be used across all supported release lines. ## Commands | Command | Description | | --- | --- | | `/ept reload` | Reload `config.yml` and `messages.yml` | | `/ept setdate ` | Set an exact unlock date and time | | `/ept countdown ` | Start a relative unlock countdown | | `/ept status` | View the timer and portal status | | `/ept toggle` | Enable or disable portal locking | | `/ept help` | Show commands available to the sender | Countdown examples include `60s`, `2m`, `1h`, `1d`, and combined values such as `1d2h30m`. ## Permissions | Permission | Description | | --- | --- | | `endportaltimer.*` | Grants every plugin permission | | `endportaltimer.admin` | Grants every administrative permission | | `endportaltimer.reload` | Reload the configuration | | `endportaltimer.setdate` | Set the exact unlock date and time | | `endportaltimer.countdown` | Set a relative countdown | | `endportaltimer.status` | View timer status | | `endportaltimer.toggle` | Toggle portal locking | | `endportaltimer.bypass` | Place Eyes of Ender while the lock is active | Administrative permissions default to server operators. The help menu and tab completion show every available command, while execution remains protected by the permissions above. ## Quick setup 1. Place the EndPortalTimer JAR in your server's `plugins` folder. 2. Start the server once to generate `config.yml` and `messages.yml`. 3. Configure `unlock-schedule.date`, `unlock-schedule.time`, and `unlock-schedule.timezone`, or run `/ept countdown 1d`. 4. Run `/ept status` to confirm the timer. Example: ```yaml unlock-schedule: date: "12-31-2026" time: "20:00:00" timezone: "Asia/Manila" ``` ## Optional dependency [DecentHolograms](https://modrinth.com/plugin/decentholograms) enables temporary holograms when players interact with a locked portal frame. EndPortalTimer works normally without it. ### Demo Need Support? Join our discord server! [https://discord.gg/GCxYsMG3u6](https://discord.gg/GCxYsMG3u6) Hey there!
