This is my vision of what the PERFECT PvP modpack should be.
Introducing DAPP (Dude's Awesome PvP Pack)!
This modpack was specifically designed with performance and PvP in mind. As a PvP enjoyer myself, I was tired of low performance, stutters, high ping, and no HUD elements to help me in combat. So, I created DAPP. With this modpack, you can take your PvP and gameplay to a whole new level.
My specs: Ryzen 7 5700x, Rx 7600 and 32 GB of DDR 4 Ram.
The modpack mainly contains four categories of mods/resource packs/settings that make it perfect the PvP modpack:
- Performance mods
Mods that will enhance the performance of your Minecraft, eliminating low FPS, stutters and high ping, making for a smoother playing experience. It is important to note that these performance mods are client-side, meaning they will apply everywhere, so not just PvP servers. These mods will overall improve the performance of your Minecraft.
- Combat mods
These mods will greatly help you in combat. Mods like Inventory HUD +, Combat Hitboxes, Appleskin, Shield Fixes and Bactro MOD will ensure you are on top of the game every moment. These mods have been configured the way I use them, but you can easily customize every mod to your liking (while in-game press esc, then the mods button, then left-click on the icon of the mod u want to customize, and done, then you are ready to customize them your own way). Some of the changes these mods make are disabling the annoying pumpkin blur, lower fire and shield, showing the saturation overlay, showing how much a potion will last for and more.
- Resource Packs
These resource packs enhance your overall Minecraft experience. Resource packs like Dark Mode GUI, small totem pop, and small items will help you elevate your Minecraft gameplay by giving you better visibility, and a better visual of the game.
- Settings
Lastly, the settings I adjusted are perfect for PvP. Disabling the hurt camera shake, FOV effects, view bobbing, clouds, and some animations will create a smoother playing experience.
Disclaimer! The Natural Motion Blur mod has been included in this modpack. Turn it on only if you have a PC that can play Minecraft at 144+ FPS and a monitor that has a refresh rate (HZ) of at least 144. For the best performance, leave it like I did, disabled.
