- Version 3.1 has been released!
- Distant Horizons 2.1.0 is now included in the modpack!
- Check out the full changelog to see everything that has been added, removed, updated, and changed!
- With this update we suggest downloading this as a new instance and moving your world saves over as we have cleaned-up a significant amount of unnecessary files clogging up the launch process.
- Version 3.1 will continue to be maintained until the release of version 4.0 (release date TBD).
### 📥 Installation
- A more in-depth installation guide can be found in our discord, but for convenience we have provided some basic information below:
- **Java Runtime Environment**
- Java 17 JRE is required to run this modpack. We recommend using Eclipse Temurin, you can find the latest release at [Adoptium](https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/?version=17&arch=x64&os=windows&package=jre).

### 🛠️ Maintenance
We currently intend to continously maintain the modpack on a monthly basis. On the 28th of every month a new update for the modpack will be released consisting of announcements, additions, updates, as well as changes/fixes. Hotfixes may be pushed on a more frequent basis depending on necessity. If you encounter a bug or crash on your local environment please let us know through a ticket in our support channel on discord and we will do our best to provide assistance.
### ❔ FAQ
- **"Why isn't this mod included?!"**
- If a mod isn't included it means that it wasn't compatible with other mods during the modpacks initial development phase, does not fit the overall theme of the modpack, or was not included to cut down the number of mods to improve performance. We are always checking previously incompatible mods when they are updated, so that we may include them in a future version!
- **"Can you add this mod to the modpack?"**
- We are always open to suggestions from the community when it comes to improving the modpack, if you have a suggestion or request, please head to our discord and submit it to our support forum channel!
- **"Why can't I join the official server for the modpack?"**
- The server is currently whitelist only, and exclusively available to discord members with the industrialist role, although we hope to change this in the future. If you are interested in playing on the server, head over to our discord and fill out a whitelist application in our whitelist forum channel!
- **DISCLAIMER**
- Subscribing to the industrialist role does not guarantee that your whitelist application will be approved, but is necessary to gain access to the server. Please submit your whitelist application and wait for it to be approved before subscribing to the industrialist role
### 🔭 Looking Ahead
As related to the questions "Why isn't this mod included?", and "Can you add this mod to the modpack?", we wanted to let you know what mods we are looking forward to adding in the future, and we're currently closely watching the development of these mods:
- Reterraforged
- RTF is a world generation mod, which produces realistic and beautiful terrain features.
- Distant Horizons
- DH is a rendering mod, which uses LOD generation to build fake chunks that allows for greater render distances while maintaining performance. Currently released versions are not stable, but we are currently testing their nightly builds (2.0.4 at the moment) and hope for a release which we can include.
