## Description
Got a fear of spiders? Fear no more. This accessibility resource pack replaces **models**, **textures** and **sounds** of **Spiders** and **Cave Spiders**, reskinning them as **Assassins** and **Shadow Assassins** respectively.
Inspired by Muse31's [Arachnophobia](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/arachnophobia) pack. This one is meant to be an alternative for those who want the distressing spiders gone, but prefer a darker/more grounded theme.
### Limitations
As a purely audiovisual re-skin, this pack does **not** alter these mobs mechanically in any way. Assassins drop the exact same items that spiders drop and can climb. They even take up the same space that a spider would with the same hitbox. That means you need to hit them in the legs, and that they can fit through holes 1 block high.
Moreover, unfortunately this resource pack only takes care of the vanilla Minecraft spiders. Mods might potentially add other spider variants, and replacing those sadly seems beyond the scope of a simple [EMF](https://modrinth.com/mod/entity-model-features)-based resource pack. I might sometime develop a full-blown mod aiming to address that as well.
## Requirements
This resource pack is for Java Edition and **requires** the [**Entity Model Features**](https://modrinth.com/mod/entity-model-features) mod installed. For pre-1.18.2 Minecraft versions, **OptiFine** should work as an alternative.
If you're using multiple resource packs at the same time, make sure to position this one **above** anything else that might affect spiders.
